§ 30-19. (Effective until March 1, 2024) Value of property ascertained.
The value of the personal property assigned to the surviving spouse and children shall be ascertained by a magistrate or the clerk of court of the county in which administration was granted or the will probated. § 30-19. (Effective March 1, 2024) Property awarded to surviving spouse and children.
The determination of the personal property to be awarded to the surviving spouse and children and the value thereof shall be made by the clerk of court of the county in which venue would be proper under G.S. 28A-3-1.
