Overview: Section 37.1 of S.L. 2026-41 (Senate Bill 257) authorizes, in addition to the $125 filing fee of a securities salesman who is seeking to be registered in this state, an additional $125 filing fee for each securities dealer that the securities salesman (or dealer acting on behalf of a salesman) applies to be registered or renewed with, in accordance with the North Carolina Securities Act. This fee is due upon registration. The new additional fee is paid to the State Treasurer to go into the General Fund.
