Overview: Section 6.11 of S.L. 2026‑41 (Senate Bill 257), as amended by Section 3.4 of S.L. 2026‑61 (House Bill 268), removes various performance measures on which the State Board of Community Colleges (SBCC) must evaluate community colleges. The SBCC must allocate performance‑based funds to community colleges that have successful institutional performance on the progress of basic skills students.
Section 6.11 of S.L. 2026‑41 became effective July 1, 2026, and Section 3.4 of S.L. 2026‑61 became effective August 11, 2026.
